Kenneth Weissenberg is a Corporate Tax Partner and a leader in the Real Estate Services Group. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the real estate industry, providing clients with services ranging from developing tax saving strategies for owning and operating property to structuring and negotiating complex sales, acquisitions, and financing transactions. Ken has been involved in over $50 billion of real estate transactions over the last 30 years including some of the largest deals in the City of New York. Ken has consulted with a variety of public and private REITs on tax planning and compliance issues including REIT formations, property contributions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Ken is well versed in complex issues facing real estate owners and developers from both the legal and business perspectives. He has worked with some of the largest privately held real estate organizations in New York, as well as with publicly traded real estate companies. Ken has also worked as an advisor to numerous prominent hotel and hospitality clients and world renowned restaurants. He represents the owners of some of the most well-known properties in New York City.
Additionally, Ken is a frequent speaker on real estate topics before various professional groups. He is also a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and New York City Bar Association. Ken holds a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
