James Escarzega joined Cushman & Wakefield, Global Hospitality in their San Francisco office in 2012. His responsibilities include the origination, structuring, and marketing of sale and financing transactions. James has over 15 years of dedicated hospitality experience in brokerage and advisory, as well as resort and hotel operations experience throughout the United States and the Caribbean.
James has completed over $2 billion in lodging transactions nationwide. His extensive experience involves finance and investment sale transaction for both single asset as well as portfolios. Prior to joining C&W, James was a Senior Vice President of Pinnacle Realty Investments. During his tenure there, Mr. Escarzega was involved in several record setting price-per-key transactions, including the Hay Adams Washington DC, the Westin Providence and the Courtyard in Brookline, Massachusetts. His partial client list includes Silverpeak Real Estate Partners, Lehman Brothers, Westbrook Partners, JP Morgan Investment Management and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors, among others.
James also worked as a senior consultant for Pinnacle Advisory Group, a national hospitality consulting group, where he provided senior level consultancy and asset management services for over $4 billion worth of proposed and existing hotels in all lodging segments and product types, ranging from economy to luxury, throughout the US and the Caribbean. Prior to Pinnacle, James held various management positions with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
James received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration and is a member of the national chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society.
