Brent started at Hackman Capital Partners in 2015 and oversees legal affairs and transactions for the company and its affiliated entities. Brent manages, coordinates and advises on the legal aspects of the company’s corporate, acquisition, disposition, joint venture, financing, development and leasing matters. He also manages the firm’s purchase and sale transactions including marketed sale processes, contract negotiations, deal structures, financing, due diligence and closings.
Prior to joining the company, Brent was a real estate transactional attorney with the national law firm Stroock LLP and represented various types of real estate funds, developers and institutional and non-institutional investors. His clients were involved in owning and developing all commercial real estate product types and his legal work included acquisitions, sales, financings, partnership and joint venture agreements, leases, property, construction and development management agreements, distressed debt and equity investments, loan restructurings, workouts and enforcement. Brent received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business and his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School.
